This year, Le Chéile NS took part in the Operation 10@10 programme over 14 days. We started on Tuesday 22nd January and did 10 minutes of activity at 10am each day until Friday 8th February. THE HEALTH Service Executive (HSE) has confirmed an outbreak of measles in Limerick. There is a suspected case in our school. Our “Sing out with Strings” orchestra performed in Michael Guiney’s last Thursday in order to raise money for Limerick’s Live 95FM “95 Stop Tour”. Our ever impressive orchestra were playing in the shop front window on William Street. They were absolutely amazing and impressed the audience of all ages. Seachtain na Gaeilge 2017 During the month of March we had fun celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge 2017. After six weeks of Irish Dancing lessons, all the children showcased their dancing talents at a Céilí Mór. The children in the Infant classes modelled their éadaí deasa in a Seó Faisin. The children in second and third class gave excellent commentaries ‘as gaeilge’.
