Seachtain na Gaeilge 2016
During the month of March we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge 2016.
The children took part in a variety of Irish Language, culture and sporting related activities e.g. Irish Céilí dancing, hurling, camogie, An Cic Fada, as well as Irish writing and art competitions.
The children in Infants modelled their éadaí deasa in a Fashion Show (Seó Faisin). The children in the senior classes even had a quiz “as Gaeilge” (Tráth na gCeist).
The children and múinteoirí came to school wearing green on “Lá Glas” which was also Proclamation day – 15th March 2016.
We had a lovely ceremony where the children sang, played music, read parts of the Proclamation and raised the Irish Flag.
